AKA University City, Philadelphia’s luxe new skyscraper hotel and vertical condo neighbourhood, offers its guests complimentary “yoga on the water” from Aqua Vida as the sun sets over the Philadelphia skyline in the 72-foot infinity pool – and the photos speak for themselves.

Aqua Vida takes classic yoga and puts it on 10-foot surfboards, taking everything there is to love about the relaxation of yoga, adding the added challenge of instability, and combining it with the bliss of floating on water.

The pool at AKA University City is on Level 28, Philadelphia’s first luxury lifestyle club. Soaring 400 feet above street level, this 25,000-square-foot club is designed for member wellness and relaxation.

In addition to the 75-foot stainless-steel “pool in the sky” with floor-to-ceiling windows, the club features special event programming, a fitness centre, a private massage room, and a spacious studio to enjoy yoga, Zumba, or barre classes.

Aqua Vida is the world’s first clean water lifestyle company, an eco-conscious, socially responsible community offering sustainable apparel and products, as well as floating stand-up paddle board (SUP) yoga and fitness classes, teacher trainings, retreats, workshops, and clean-up initiatives.

Soaring 400 feet above street level, Level 28 at AKA University City, a LEED-certified oasis designed by the globally-acclaimed Lissoni Associati, has been thoughtfully created for wellness, relaxation, and enjoyment.

Their 75-foot stainless-steel indoor Olympic-size “pool in the sky” with floor-to-ceiling windows, bountiful natural light and contemporary lounge-style seating is a floating yogi’s dream. The sunset from here is unparalleled.

Flow through one of their blissful floating yoga classes led by a top local yoga teacher, then tour their state-of-the-art fitness center, 3-D indoor golf simulator and hang out with us at a.lounge, AKA’s private bar and lounge, and their landscaped terrace, with endless sightlines and cozy fire pits.

If you haven’t attended this event, you’re seriously in for a treat. Regularly sold out, it is now the most exclusive event in the Philly fitness community.
