This week, Fotografiska Stockholm opens the new exhibition “In Bloom,” featuring sixteen photographers exploring and celebrating nature. As a part of the exhibition, Fotografiska Stockholm will bring nature to their visitors in more than one way by constructing a shinrin yoku-inspired room full of trees and plants where visitors can enjoy the tranquillity, relaxation, and health benefits of the Swedish forest.

The room, referred to as Fotografiska ForRest, is booking through Airbnb and will be the first time Fotografiska Stockholm’s visitors can experience the unique opportunity of sleeping at the museum. Additionally, the room will be open for visitors during the daytime until the end of April.

The overnight stay includes admission to the “In Bloom” exhibition, an exclusive five-course dinner with sustainable and seasonal ingredients in the renowned restaurant, and breakfast in a private dining room overlooking Stockholm’s most panoramic view.

All proceeds will be donated to Naturarvet, which works to preserve Sweden’s forests. Naturarvet’s goal is to protect endangered species, preserve biological diversity, encourage outdoor recreation and tourism, and support research efforts.

“We are constantly seeking new and exciting ways to enhance our guests’ experience in our building. We aim to make it fun and magical to spend your time here, and it is thrilling to offer an overnight stay for the first time. This spring, nature will be the focal point at Fotografiska Stockholm, and we are eagerly anticipating the addition of a lush indoor forest. With opening times stretching from 10 am to 11 pm we are proud to say that one of the world’s most open museum now becomes even more open.”
